Living in a patriarchal world, for a woman, is like being cursed.
And yet, being a woman is also an act of profound resistance, a poetic and political gesture, a radical stance. THE CURSE speaks of the infinite plurality of the feminine, portraying womanhood from a non-binary, inclusive, and uncodified perspective.

Every woman is many women.

Now more than ever, we need to widen our gaze.
Just to name one of many disturbing examples: in the United States, there is a growing obsession with “verifying” women’s identities.
On social media, in schools, in locker rooms, cis women who don’t conform to stereotypical feminine norms are mistaken for trans women and verbally assaulted.
As if the only way to be accepted were to conform to a precise, filtered, approved aesthetic.

But this doesn’t only target trans people. It targets all women.
Because patriarchy doesn’t want women. It wants obedient versions of femininity.

And yet, femininity escapes definition.
It is strength and vulnerability. It is contradiction.
It is a dance between body and identity that no one can define from the outside.
It is a space one can enter, leave, return to.
It is pain, yes, but also desire, memory, care.

In the video, this vision takes symbolic form: there’s me, a non-binary person, and my grandmother.
Two generations apart, yet deeply connected.
The story takes place in a box that represents a safe space and revolves around a flower.
And not just any flower, but a white calla lily, a symbol of both rebirth and death.
I am her. She is me.
Our identities blur, reflect, merge.

The feminine does not have one form.
It has a thousand ways of existing.
